Sam Chandan

Founder of Chandan Economics

Dr. Sam Chandan, Ph.D. is the Larry & Klara Silverstein Chair and Academic Dean of NYU's Schack Institute of Real Estate. Sam Chandan founded Chandan Economics, an economic advisory and data science firm serving the institutional real estate industry. Dr. Chandan received his Ph.D. in Applied Economics from the Wharton School and was a Doctoral Scholar in the Economics Department at Princeton University. In addition to real estate, his academic work has focused on issues relating to school access, poverty reduction, and development economics.

In addition to his doctorate, he holds graduate degrees in economics and engineering and an undergraduate degree in economics, finance, and public policy.


Solomon Poretsky

Solomon Poretsky is SVN’s Chief Development Officer. Prior to joining SVN, Solomon was a partner at Custom Skills Development, a commercial real estate consulting firm providing coaching, development, and training services to agents and brokerages across North America. His commercial real estate career started at Marcus & Millichap, where he was involved in over $1.2 billion of listings sales and closings as both an agent and a regional manager. He currently resides in suburban Minneapolis with his wife, Mary, and his twin boys, Thomas and William.


Kevin Maggiacomo

Kevin Maggiacomo serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of SVN International Corp. and is responsible for the company’s mission and vision. Propelling SVN’s expansion across the globe, Maggiacomo has facilitated SVN’s growth from 7 US offices in 2001 to more than 200 offices in 8 countries today.


John McDermott

Senior Vice President of SVN International Corp. 

John McDermott serves as the Senior Vice President of SVN International Corporation. John is a member of the Executive Committee of the SVN Asset Recovery Team (SVNART), serves as its Southern California Regional Director, and is also a member of the SVNIC Advisory Board. John also trains SVN Advisors nationwide. His commercial real estate experience includes the ownership and development of condominiums, mobile home parks, neighborhood anchored retail centers, recreational vehicle parks, and apartments with 45 years of real estate and finance experience.
